Making It Home: Screenings, Performance and Talks at Café Mellemfolk, ActionAid Denmark, Aarhus, Denmark.

This open event focused on how we can educate ourselves on home creation in Denmark from a post-migratory perspective and partake in the conversation by creating our own stories and documentaries on the subject with the DO#HOME guidebook, a small group, and a smartphone.

The first part focused on the DO#HOME home-activist guidebook, produced by Alexander Muchenberger and Marta Padovan-Özdemir in 2024. This was followed by three short films and a performance on finding one’s way home, making home and feeling at home by Basel Hamama, Ivana Vrki´c, Catherine Richard and Marta Padovan-Özdemir.  These four creative works were the outcomes of the MaHoMe Aesthetic Workshops in Denmark in 2022, where artist and curator Aysha Amin, interaction designer Alexander Muchenberger, and filmmaker Anita Beikpour co-designed and facilitated the aesthetic workshop as a film workshop.
