Marta Padovan-Özdemir and Eleonora Narvselius hosted this public event using the setting of a dinner party as a means to generate public conversation. The menu of welcoming, belonging and longing explored migrant homemaking in contexts of divergent integration politics.

The conversation was initiated by invited guests Amir Zainorin, a visual artist living in Copenhagen; Helena Bonett, MaHoMe researcher and curator Kingston University, Sanjin Pejkovic, a film critic, journalist, activist, who helped refugees coming to Europe through the Balkan route and lives in Gothenburg; Rebecka Söderberg, a PhD student from Malmö University, exploring migrant home-making in Denmark and Sweden, and Maliha Shirzay who holds MA in Asian Studies and Gender Studies from Lund University

Funded by NordForsk under Joint Nordic-UK research programme on Migration and Integration [Project number 94893] 2020-2024.
