2023 ‘Making it Home: A Studio-Museum Intervention’, Dorich House Museum, London UK

Generated from the Exploratory Ethnographic Workshops co-developed by Helena Bonett and Fran Lloyd in March and May 2023, this collective intervention sought to unsettle the spaces of the museum through the entanglement of artefacts, activities, memories and emotions that are part of the experience of migrant homemaking.

The interventions included explorations of the music, sounds and smells of home and home-making, the textures and objects associated with home and migration, memory drawings and games, sharing food and conversations, and participation in a collective embroidery project based on Ukrainian colours. Co-researchers of the event were Magdalena Glowacka, Lina Hakim and Francesca Merton.
